(b. 1989) Dana Joras is an award-winning flutist and composer living in the Kansas City metro. Dana studied at DePaul University in Chicago and the Royal Academy of Music in London. Her compositions are whimsical and charming, drawing inspiration from her love of technical and showy flute playing. Dana is a member of Chicago-based Celtic Rock Band, Logical Fleadh, playing irish wood flutes and whistles. The band's latest album was released in early 2023 and has been played worldwide. In addition to performing and composing, Dana also loves to read, write fantasy novels, and work in her colorful and inspirational garden. She also referees high school soccer and spends time with her husband, son, and dogs.

(b. 1989) Dana Joras is an award-winning flutist and composer living in the Kansas City metro. Dana studied at DePaul University in Chicago under Jennifer Clippert and Mary Stolper. She also completed a Masters degree in London under Sam Coles, Kate Hill, and Patricia Morris at the Royal Academy of Music. Dana's flute and piccolo performances have been awarded in several competitions including the British Flute Society Young Artist Competition (2013), the Walfrid Kujala Piccolo Competition (2013), the Jonathan Myall Piccolo Prize (2012), and the Musicians Club of Women Farwell-Trust Competition (2011).
Dana's compositions are whimsical and charming, drawing inspiration from her love of technical and showy flute playing. Her works have been recognized and awarded by the National Flute Association, the Jan Gippo Piccolo Composition Competition, and Sheet Music Plus Chamber Music Contest. Dana's flute choir compositions and arrangements have been performed nationwide by many amateur and professional ensembles.
